Network Programs

to be familiar with
There are several Network Programs we will learn to use in the class. Documentation on these programs are found elsewhere in the course materials.

These programs are the following:
  • EMail - A description is given here
  • Newsgroups - Connect to www.dejanews.com
  • FTP - A description is given here
  • Chat - You may download the WS-CHAT program and learn to use WS-Chat to set up a chat session with another individual
  • A collection of other programs that may be run from the DOS prompt may be found here
